Alaska Salmon Fishing

Chinook or King Salmon Fishing is world-class at Kodiak Island Resort on Kodiak Island, Alaska. May is a great time to catch Kings in the ocean while June and July we can stalk them in the rivers as they make their annual migration from the ocean.

King Salmon feed year round in the abundant waters of Kodiak Island but the action is greatest from May through October. Alaska's Kodiak Island Resort in Larsen Bay is home to some of Alaska's best saltwater King salmon fishing. Fish average 25-35 lbs., and can reach 50 lbs. or more. Trolling, mooching and jigging are the methods used to hook these magnificent game fish. When trolling it is not uncommon to hook up Silvers two at a time.
