Alaska Fishing

Angler's at Kodiak Island Resort are treated to world-class Alaska Fishing for halibut and salmon while being surrounded by spectacular mountains, volcanoes, glaciers and awesome coastline. Our guests never get bored due to all of the beautiful scenery and proflic wildlife.

The waters surrounding Kodiak hold a wealth of sea life rivaling the wildlife found in the area. The seafood that Alaska is famous for, can be caught throughout the Kodiak area.

Every type of salmon can be caught in Kodiak's waters. Alaska king or chinook salmon are known for their incredible size. The silver or coho salmon are known for their superior strength and ability to fight. Kodiak waters are also home to Pacific halibut, often weighing in excess of 100 pounds. Dolly Varden, cutthroat and steelhead trout are found in our rivers, lakes, streams and saltwater shoreline areas.

Kodiak Island is also a fly fishing paradise.We offerfull-day excursions for fly and deep sea fishing in Alaska's prime fishing territory. Start landing fish within fifteen minutes from our docks.

Fishing licenses are available for purchase in our lodge.. Out of state anglers can purchase a 1, 3, 7, 14 day or annual license for fishing in Alaska. Fishing for king salmon will require the purchase of a king salmon tag.

We will clean, bag, freeze and pack for shipping your catch. Special care is given to your catch to assure that it maintains it's freshness during your trip home.
